Release date:
2025-08-20
To ensure the vehicle's safety performance, the frequency of brake pad replacement is crucial. It is generally recommended to replace brake pads after driving between 40,000 and 60,000 kilometers, in order to maintain their optimal working condition.
The steps for replacing brake pads include:
First, open the engine compartment and check the brake fluid level to prevent overflow during the replacement process.
Next, remove the wheel corresponding to the brake.
Then, remove the bolts of the brake caliper and take out the old brake pads.
Install the new brake pads and tighten the guide bolts to complete the replacement.
There are several types of brake pads, including common options such as semi-metallic, non-metallic, carbon fiber, and ceramic fiber brake pads. Each type has its own unique characteristics and is suited for specific applications.
The working principle of brake pads primarily relies on the friction between the brake pads and the brake drum, as well as between the tires and the road surface, converting the vehicle's kinetic energy into heat generated by friction, thereby achieving deceleration and stopping. Therefore, regularly inspecting and replacing brake pads is crucial for ensuring safe vehicle operation.
